Gaming is HOT this summer, and I’m not talkin’ ’bout ‘RPG-online-community-type’ gaming (which is ALWAYS ‘hot’ by default), I mean VINTAGE GAMING!
Above: Vintage gaming and their boxes are all the rage with ‘mid-century modsters’ and professional designers alike.
Toy boxes and packaging from the 1950s thru the 1990s are becoming very desirable to ‘baby boomers’ and even ‘generation X-ers’ simply due to their outstanding art and graphics and their uncanny ability to act as a ‘memory-trigger’ for childhood recollections. I know a lot of these items act as a time-machine for my imagination, so i’m all the way hooked! I would rather live amongst 1968 Hotwheels boxes than worry about dust collecting on a ‘Master’ painting any day … probably due to the generation I grew up in … the most AWESOME 1970s! If I grew up in the ‘Renaissance’ period, different story, know what I mean? So…
Don’t throw away those boxes at Christmas and your birthday!
